| It has been a very long time since I've done the Xanga thing. Is anyone still out there? Does anyone still do Xanga? | | |

“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me,
and I in thee, that they also may be one in us.”
-John 17:21
One
a solitary way to walk,
-and yet, it is my prayer,
that in my loneliness, i call
Your Name, and find You there.
i choose to fully live your love,
-no matter where it leads.
bereavement only serves to point
to You, when someone leaves.
It’s oneness that I deeply crave
with You, within my soul.
O draw me closer yet, until
in sorrow, i am whole.

“Behold the fowls of the air...Consider the lilies of the field.”
-Matthew 6:26, 28
The Flower’s Face
in the flower’s face,
i can see Your grace.
in the wind,
i hear Your voice.
all creation sings,
and Your Glory, brings.
for it simply has no choice!
as the birds that fly,
live to glorify,
may i live
to honor You.
will You flow from me,
so unconsciously?
-glorified,
in all i do?
help me live like these,
who, in “being”, please,
in simplicity
and grace.
as was meant to be,
may You flow through me
O, give me
the flower’s face!

“Though it tarry, wait for it.”
-Habakkuk 2:3
to wait is not an easy thing,
in any circumstance.
the bank, the store, the DMV,
-im anxious to advance.
it makes me crazy just to stand.
my time’s a precious thing.
i get annoyed that i must wait,
like any “common being”.
if in the little things of life,
the waiting can defeat,
then what about the larger things
ive laid before Your feet?
i’m anxious to become the person
that You’d have me be.
developed and empowered,
Lord, for You, and not for me.
i get impatient with myself.
help me to focus now.
on You, and just devote myself,
and serve, as You show how.
